Because we had settled on a wizard theme and we had decided it would become a multiplayer game, we had to design two wizards.
Before the players would start the game, a little animation would be shown in which the two wizards were introduced. One of the wizards becomes bored, decides to turn the other into an animal, and so the fight begins. After the animation, the game starts and the two players have to destroy each others side of the cauldron with spells, to win the game.
The Animation had to be short, simple, and fun. Just enough to get the players excited to start playing, and understand the conflict of the story.
We started off with a very sloppy sketch of a storyboard, which we then developed into the actual frames. Afterwards we added sounds, and movement to complete the animation.
Naturally, other assets had to be created for the game, so below you’ll find images of assets, user interface, explanation images, and some illustrations to promote our game on social media platforms.
